Here’s a sample weekly plan to keep God’s Word near you beyond weekend worship. Use for yourself or better yet – use with others.

Reflect on the sermon. Consider writing down your thoughts. What were the key points? What do you remember most? How does it matter to your life? |

| Monday: |
Share your sermon thoughts with your spouse, children, a friend or all of the above. Compare similar thoughts. Consider different thoughts for yourself. Discuss applications for your lives further. |

| Tuesday: |
Review the sermon reading. Were there any thoughts not included in the sermon? Look at the context – what comes before and after the reading. How does this reading fit into the history of God’s people? |

| Wednesday: |
Review one of the other readings from worship (Old Testament, Epistle or Gospel). How does this reading connect to the sermon? What does it tell you about God? about yourself? What does the Holy Spirit want you to believe or do? |

| Thursday: |
Review the final of the three readings from worship. Use the same questions from above. |
| |

| Friday: |
Look ahead to the readings for the coming week. You can find them online at www.mountoliveappleton.com in the upper right hand corner of the home page.
Try to determine a common theme. Pick out key points. |

| Saturday: |
Make up day or day to dig deeper on what caught your attention most from the week’s study. |
