Oklahoma Disaster Relief: To make a donation to the WELS Christian Aid and Relief for the victims of the Oklahoma tornado, make your check to Mount Olive, place it in an envelope marked “Oklahoma Relief” and place it in the offering basket in the coming weeks.
Office Hours:
Summer office hours are: Mon. – Thurs. 8-4 and Fridays 8 – noon.
A door offering to support The Hope Center, which offers Christian counseling and pregnancy tests, will be received next week. You can also support this important outreach of Christian Life Resources by marking your blue offering envelope “Hope Center” throughout the month of June.
Father’s Day Worship Services (Jun 15 -17) will focus on the Sanctity of Life. Our guest preacher will be Rev. Robert Fleischmann, director of Christian Life Resources. He will conduct a 30 minute Q & A between Sunday services. Bring your questions on topics like cloning, stem-cell research, assisted suicide and palliative care.
Family Fest is in need of volunteers to assist with food service, clean-up, and games. Please sign up today at the welcome desk in the Atrium.
Family Fest Worship Sunday: SCRIP will be open on Sunday, June 23
rd from 9a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
On the Edge of Eternity is an autobiography documenting Pastor Robert Sawall’s experiences as a home and world missionary. He will be selling copies of his book in the atrium after each service this weekend. $5.00 of the $15.00 purchase price will be given to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society to provide travel assistance for those who would like to attend the LWMS National Convention, June 27-30, 2013.
Children’s Books Needed: Help the teens and Pastor Sellnow gather children’s books for the early childhood center that they will help prepare for a fall opening on their July mission trip. Shepherd of the Hills Church in Knoxville, Tennessee will welcome this gift of love to their early childhood ministry. A box will be located in the atrium during the month of June for your gifts of new or gently used children’s books suitable for ages 2-5.
